One catalog, one workflow, four ways to ship. Your customers pick the format. We make it.

Archival paper, custom mat, your choice of 40+ frame styles. Cut to your art's exact size. Up to 32 by 40 inches.
Stretched and framed canvas
Hand-stretched canvas inside a float or traditional frame. Two depths, two finishes. Ready to hang the day it lands.
Rolled or flat-packed prints
Same archival paper, no frame. Rolled in a tube or flat-packed in a mailer. Customers frame their own way later.
Gallery-wrap canvas
Stretched canvas, no frame. Edges painted or wrapped. Shows up ready to hang straight from the box.
Your storefront. Our shop floor.
FramesOnDemand is a print-on-demand app that adds real custom-framed and unframed prints to your Shopify store, Etsy shop, or any platform with an API. You set your markup once; we make every order, ship every order, and replace every damage from our New Jersey shop. There's no subscription — you pay per order — and you keep the customer.
Pay per order, never per month
Other POD apps gate their best frame discounts behind $25 to $30 monthly subscriptions. We charge per order. No subscription tier. No volume threshold. The dollar you make on day one is the dollar you keep.
Variants land in your storefront as drafts
Upload your art, pick the four product types you want, set your retail markup. The app pushes framed and unframed variants to Shopify or Etsy with mockup images attached. You write the title. We handle the inventory routing.
Lifestyle photography, free, from one click
Click once, get three lifestyle shots of every print on a wall. No photo shoot. No Photoshop. Sellers without a studio compete with sellers who have one. Your storefront looks like a brand on the day you open.
Free replacements when something arrives damaged
Damage rate has run under 0.3 percent for a decade. When a print does arrive bent or cracked, we ship a replacement within two business days. No photo evidence. No claim form. Your customer sees one clean unboxing, the second time.
No subscription. No volume tier. No tax on existing.
Other POD apps charge $25 to $30 a month for the discounts you actually need. You pay for the privilege of paying for prints. We don't do that.
$25–$30 a month, before your first sale.
- Best frame discounts gated behind a paid tier
- Subscription clock runs whether you sell or not
- Need ~$125 a month in product spend to break even
- Volume discounts only at higher tiers
$0 a month. Pay only for orders we ship.
- Same wholesale rate, every seller, day one
- Charged per order at the moment we ship
- No volume threshold to unlock anything
- Free to install, free to test, free to leave
Flat shipping rates. Your customers see free shipping.
A 16 by 20 frame ships the same price to California as it does to Connecticut. You bake the rate into your retail price. Your customer clicks checkout. Your conversion rate climbs.
Up to 16 by 20 unframed.
Up to 24 by 36 unframed.
Stretched canvas of any size.
Forty-plus frame styles. Forty-five mat colors. Any combination.
Most POD apps ship three frame colors. We ship the catalog of a real custom-frame shop, because we are one.

Eight of 40+ styles. Full catalog filters by finish, width, and aesthetic inside the app.
One click. Three lifestyle shots. Every print.
Shipping in v1.0Sellers without a studio used to lose every conversion to sellers with one. Big brands shoot prints on walls in living rooms and hallways. Small sellers shot prints on a kitchen table.
The app composites your finished print into a curated library of professionally lit wall scenes. Three shots, ready for your storefront, no Photoshop required. Free, no credit metering, no tier gate.
Your storefront looks like a brand on the day you open it.
Open the app. Pick a product. Push to your storefront.
This is the seller tool. Upload art, preview every frame and mat combination, and send framed and unframed variants to your store in one click.
- Live mockups. Every frame and mat combination renders as you pick.
- Any fractional size. 4×4 up to 32×40 (or any rectangle summing to 72 inches).
- Push to Shopify or Etsy. Variants land in your storefront as drafts.

How does FramesOnDemand work with Shopify?
One-click install via OAuth. The app adds a fulfillment location to your store, generates framed and unframed variants as draft products, and routes paid orders to our New Jersey shop automatically.
How are sellers billed?
Per order, at the time we ship. No monthly subscription, no platform tier fee, no per-variant cost. You pay production cost plus a flat shipping rate. The card on file is charged when the label prints.
Can my customers see free shipping?
Yes. We charge sellers a flat shipping rate by size bucket. You bake that into your retail price and advertise free shipping at checkout. Your customers see one price. Conversion rates climb when shipping isn't a surprise at the cart.
What product types do you fulfill?
Four. Framed paper prints, framed canvas prints, unframed paper prints, and unframed gallery-wrap canvas. Custom sizing on every type, from 4 by 4 inches up to 32 by 40.
Can I use FramesOnDemand without Shopify?
Yes. Etsy integration ships at v1.0 launch. Any other platform can place orders through our public REST API or the manual order entry form inside the app. Institutions and brands running their own storefront — Magento, headless, BigCommerce, or proprietary — integrate via the same REST API, white-label, with our team wiring it alongside yours. See FramesOnDemand for institutions, or email partners@framesondemand.app to scope an integration.
What sizes do you make?
We size by your artwork — the print itself, not the overall frame. Width plus height of the print up to 72 inches combined. So 32×40 (the most common max), 22×50, 10×62, or any rectangle that sums to 72. Minimum 4×4. Fractional sizing on every product, cut to your art's exact dimensions. The finished framed product extends roughly 1 to 3 inches per side beyond the print, depending on which frame moulding you choose.
How long does production take?
Three to five business days from order to ship, measured across the trailing twelve months at the parent shop. Tracking posts back to your store the moment the carrier label prints.
Who owns the artwork I upload?
You do. By uploading art to the app, you grant us a license to print, frame, pack, and ship it as needed to fulfill your storefront's orders. The license ends when you uninstall. We never use seller artwork to train models or to sell to anyone else. Read the terms for the full language.
What happens if a print arrives damaged?
Free replacement, no questions, no photo evidence required. Replacement ships within two business days. Damage rate has run under 0.3 percent across the parent shop for years.
What happens if my card on file declines?
The order doesn't enter production until the charge clears. We email you, you update the payment method in the embedded billing page, and the order resumes the moment the charge succeeds. No production cost stranded on a bad card.
